During the discussion, the students noted that independence is an age-old dream for the Kazakh people, and its essence should be evaluated as the foundation of national statehood and the responsibility placed on the next generation. They also discussed how K.K. Tokayev's political activities are linked to strategic processes aimed at strengthening independent statehood and elevating foreign policy to a new level of quality.
It was noted that K.K. Tokayev's diplomatic activities abroad and his adaptation to changes in global politics played a crucial role in shaping Kazakhstan's foreign policy. Describing this period as a «turbulent time», the author highlights the complexity of the domestic and foreign policy landscape during the early years of independence.
The establishment of equal diplomatic relations with foreign countries, the opening of the first embassies, and the establishment of ties with international organizations were strategic decisions for the young republic's foreign policy future.
In addition, special attention was paid to S. Doszhan s description of Kazakhstan's decision to abandon its nuclear legacy. It was noted that K.K. Tokayev's negotiations on nuclear disarmament and cooperation with international partners have become an important step for national security. The discussion also covered the concept of multi-vector foreign policy.
