STALKING IS A SILENT THREAT
Today, students of the Kyzylorda «Bolashak» University visited the «Family Center» to participate in an educational evening on the topic «Stalking: A Silent Threat», organized by Akshytak Kenpeilova, a teacher with 40 years of experience.
The main goal of the meeting was to raise awareness about the issue of stalking, which is prevalent among young people, and to provide information about its psychological and legal consequences, as well as ways to prevent it.
In her speech, Akshytak Kenpeilova noted that stalking causes great harm to the human psyche. The victim may experience stress, anxiety, insomnia, and uncertainty.
In addition, the speaker explained that harassment is subject to legal liability, emphasizing that harassment actions are considered a violation of an individual's rights and that there are grounds for appealing to relevant authorities.
During the meeting, the following tips were given to the students:
- Do not disclose personal information on social media;
- Do not respond to suspicious messages;
- Keep evidence of harassment (screenshots, emails) as proof;
- Immediately contact law enforcement agencies.
Akshytak Kenpeilova urged the young people not to be indifferent to their own safety and to be able to resist any kind of pressure.
«Harassment is a silent threat. It can become a serious problem if it is not stopped in time. Therefore, everyone should know their rights and be able to defend themselves»,- the speaker concluded.
That meeting increased the students' legal awareness and encouraged them to be concerned about this important issue in society.
